Our take on a Dark ’n’ Stormy—this mocktail is loaded with bright tropical flavors and ginger spice.
MOCKTAIL INGREDIENTS
- 1 packet Bare Bones Passion Fruit Elevated Drink Mix
- 16 ounces water
- 2 ounces ginger syrup (see below)
- 4 ounces lime juice
- 8 ounces ginger beer
GINGER SYRUP INGREDIENTS
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, peeled and finely chopped
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup cane or coconut sugar
GINGER SYRUP INSTRUCTIONS
In a small saucepan, combine water, ginger, and sugar. Bring to a boil, then simmer, covered, for 15 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool. Strain through a fine mesh sieve and store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 weeks, or in the fridge for 6 months.
MOCKTAIL DIRECTIONS
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add drink mix, water, ginger syrup and lime juice. Shake vigorously for 1 minute. Fill two highball glasses with cubed ice and strain half of the mixture into each glass. Top each with ginger beer and serve with lime wheels.
