SHIPPING & DELIVERY
Where’s my order?
Orders with free standard shipping should arrive within 5-7 business after ordering. Orders with expedited shipping should arrive within 3 business days after ordering. If you provided an email address or phone number, you will receive a shipping notification once your order ships with your tracking number included.
Can I edit or cancel my order once it’s been placed?
Hurry! Our fulfillment team ships most orders within 1 hour during normal business hours. So there’s only a short window of time for us to edit or cancel your order before it ships. E-mail email@example.com and we’ll do our best to help you out.
Do you ship to Canada?
Unfortunately, we are unable to ship to Canada at this time, but let us know if you have a U.S. address, or friends or family here, that you pick up from. Several of our Canadian customers have arranged for this and it works out well.
I received a notice that my package has arrived but it’s not here yet, what should I do?
Our carriers ask that we wait 48 hours after delivery (excluding Sundays and holidays!) to file a claim. Sometimes orders will show up as delivered even though they’re still in transit. Check your tracking notification to see if the carrier gave a location where the package was left, and be sure to look there. After 48 hours, if you’re still not seeing your package, let us know at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will take care of you!
My order was damaged. What should I do?

What's the difference between liquid and instant broth?
Nutritionally, our liquid and instant bone broths are very similar. Both have 10g protein per cup.
The one big difference between our liquid and instant broth is the presence of gelatin. Our liquid broth has a high gelatin content, which is great for culinary purposes, as it’s what gives body and thickness to sauces, soups, stews, etc. Gelatin is also the component of bone broth that has been known to aid in digestion and help nourish and heal the gut.
While our instant broth does contain naturally occurring collagen, it does not gel when cold. This is because the broth has been dehydrated and hydrolyzed into a powder so that it will have good solubility for quick and easy mixing with water.
If you’re looking for the gold standard, our liquid broth is for you, as it’s closest to homemade. We designed our instant broth to be a flavorful and convenient mix that delivers the same nutrition profile as bone broth.

Why so much sodium?
Our philosophy is to create great-tasting and nourishing foods using simple, high quality ingredients. As such, sodium is an essential nutrient for the human body.
When formulating our products, we always start low on salt and work our way to what we believe is the best taste. Because of the savory/umami expectation from consumers, it’s very difficult to create a broth that actually tastes good and that is truly low sodium.
For reference, there is roughly 300mg of sodium in just a pinch of salt. Our liquid broths contain around 270mg per cup, while our instant broths contain around 45mg per cup. A good portion of this sodium comes naturally from the ingredients (bones and vegetables) during the cooking process. We use salt as a tool for rounding out taste, adding just what is needed and no more.
We believe that cooking with salt provides significantly more benefit than harm, and we will continue to create products according to our Bare Bones philosophy of using only what is needed for best taste and nothing more.
Do you have any low sodium options?
Glad you asked! We have low sodium versions of our grass-fed beef and organic chicken liquid bone broths coming spring/summer 2022. Stay tuned!
Can I freeze my broth?
Yes, the liquid broth can be safely frozen, although, it is shelf-stable for upwards of 18 months.
Although the pouch can be frozen, it is not technically designed for it. If you decide to freeze your broth, we suggest transferring it to a freeze-safe container first.
