- 1 cup water
- 1 packet Instant Chicken Bone Broth
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
- 1 egg, lightly beaten
- ½ cup dry pastina*
- 2 tablespoons grated Pecorino Romano cheese
- Ground black pepper
*Found in the pasta aisle. Can also be substituted with orzo.
In a small saucepan, bring water to a boil. Add pastina and the contents of the instant beverage mix packet. Simmer 5–7 minutes or until most of the water is absorbed.
Remove from heat and stir in egg, stirring frequently, for 1 minute to allow the egg to cook in the hot pasta. Add butter, cheese and pepper and stir to combine. Serve with more pepper and chopped fresh parsley.
